The classic Swedish built Abu 7000, the first version with the red bevel edged sideplates that put Abu on the map with the beach angler of the 1970's. This, the newest shore reel to be ofered to fisherman was an instant hit. Offering much more power of previous reels such as 5000 and 6000 ranges and the opportunity to hold much more line.However, despite this the reel was still able to chuck a lead far out to sea and don't forget coupled with the old abu 484 rod this combo was breaking casting records. Still able to hold its own today, these classic abu 7000's are superb for beach,surf,rock,pier and boat anglers alike.And due to there simplicity they are easy and straight forward to use.Dual tension control assists casting, whilst single power handle aids returning your catch coupled with the strong drag and tough brass gears.The reel also has the synchronised levelwind system to maintain smooth line lay ready for the next big cast.
